Bay Area Force Pulse Seminar January 17, 2012 March 26, 2012

DFI FORCE PULSE SEMINAR                OAKLEY, CALIFORNIA     JANUARY 17, 2012 On January 17 th, 2012, DFI hosted a Force Pulse seminar in Foundation Constructor's yard in Oakley, California.  Foundation's Chief Engineer, Byrl Williams organized the event that provided an overview of the new ASTM Rapid Load Testing standard D7383 along with descriptions of the two qualifying test methods and the results they provide. 12th Street Reconstruction Time Lapse Video March 16, 2012

Foundation Constructors, Inc. (FCI) and McGuire & Hester are currently working together to reconstruct a portion of 12 th Street adjacent to Lake Merritt in Downtown Oakland, CA.  For this project FCI, McGuire & Hester, and the City of Oakland have worked closely together in order to perform our Contract as quickly as possible while at the same time mitigating the impact of construction activities to nearby residents.  For this Project FCI has been called on to install a variety of deep foundations each with their individual characteristics.  To date FCI has installed various deep foundations including Class 140 Alt "X" Pre-Cast Pre-Stressed (PCPS) Concrete Piling, 12.75" EDTTEX Piling, PZC 26 Sheet Piling, and 12x84 H-Piling at a batter ratio of 1:1. FCI has recently completed installation of PCPS Piling for the 12 th Street Bridge Abutments and Wingwalls allowing traffic to be re-directed for remaining phases of our work.  In ..... read more

Foundation 4 years safe! January 4, 2012

Foundation Drives TOUGH Batter Piles - see video clips! January 4, 2010

Pre-Cast Concrete piles 105-feet long x 14-inch square driven at a 3:1 batter with a D-46 diesel impact hammer.
