Have seen youre site.Looks very good. I am always curious how people work in other countries with piles. How do you break this piles? Hello Mr. Blijleven, Thank you for your posting, we enjoyed you video.We also love driving pile, and are interested in other companies procedures. The most common pile driven in Northern California would be pre-stressed pre-cast concrete pile, ranging in sizes from 12" to 24"square, lengths ranging from 30' to 200'. However, the longest single section concrete pile would be 127'. Our cutoff procedure for these pile are similar to yours, using a similar concrete crusher, to strip the outer portion of the concrete to expose the steel coil and re-bar. After using the crusher, pneumatic chipping guns are used to break out the core concrete. This procedure would be used on projects with large quantities of pile to cutoff, on projects with smaller quantities the pneumatic chipping guns would be used, and not the crusher.
